English Ambassadors
am¦bas|sa¦dor – an authorized representative or messenger
Every year, a group of junior form students are selected to be trained to run the various English activities around the school. Senior Form students in Form 4 and Form 5 mentor these junior ambassadors who are an integral part of the team that promotes English use around the school.
Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival - http://www.hksmsa.org.hk/en/
An annual event, students lap up the opportunity to perform competitively. Students are assigned a poem which they have to recite, using their voice to convey feeling and emotion. A very popular competition among Form 1,2 and 3 students.
Summerbridge - http://www.summerbridge.org.hk/
Every year, a handful of Form 2 students are selected to attend the Summerbridge programme over July and August. Summerbridge provides tuition-free quality English education and life skills development. Students who are selected are placed in an English immersion environment for five weeks. Classes are hands-on and with only 8-10 students per class, each student is able to receive individual attention.
